GISELLE REINBERGS From SURINAME
Hello, I’m Giselle Reinberg,
I was born in Madison, Wisconsin. My father is from Latvia and my mother a mix of African and Javanese originating from Suriname.
I grew up in the suburbs of Falls Church, Virginia where my father was an economist in nearby Washington DC. I was privileged to go to some of the best schools in the country there, and even placed first in the spelling bee in the district.
I excelled and won awards in many school activities and sports such as science, business, theatre and tennis, and volunteered in local community events as a youth.
I went to University at age 16 and completed my studies in International Economics. My family comes from all over the world and I believe this makes me more understanding and respectful of other people’s customs and traditions. I love traveling and yoga, and enjoy classical music. I am now active with a number of international beauty brands as a model and product ambassador.
Recently I have been involved in the Catilyn Raymond Registry, where I would spend time helping to recruit people to be possible stem cell donors to help people (mostly children) with leukaemia, lymphoma, or severe genetic diseases undergoing chemotherapy. I love being involved in activities that help people and are making a difference.
I work hard to be a positive role model and benefit the lives of those around me in a constructive way. I have recently been studying some European languages, such as German, and Turkish, and hope to do more television and product advertising in the future. My long term goal is to be involved in television programs helping to educate people about health and wellness.
